Already have Mother's Day on My Mind...

Hello everybody!  Mother's Day is about a month and a half away but I'm already thinking about it.  I made a couple cards yesterday from Melanie Muenchinger's book called A Year of Flowers.  I love this book and would recommend it to anyone that loves to make cards with flowers.  Here are my beautiful Mother's Day cards.

This card uses a technique called reverse masking.  I cut a circle out of a piece of paper with one of my spellbinder's circle dies and then used that cut out in the paper to sponge the yellow ink on the card.  I love this technique.  The flower, stem and leaves came from A Year of Flowers stamp set by Melanie.

This card was a little more time consuming.  The rose looks 3D doesn't it.  I used a technique called paper tole on this one.  I had to cut the entire rose out first.  Then had to cut out the individual parts of the rose and stick them on with foam squares.  I like the result but it did take some time and I had to cut the foam into smaller pieces to fit the small parts of the rose.

I hope you like these cards and will come back tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will have a tutorial on how to make PINWHEELS.

Have a Terrific Thursday and thanks for stopping by!!!!!
