Pinwheel Tutorial

Whenever I see a pinwheel it makes me think of my childhood and also springtime.  They're always so cute and colorful, how can you not be happy when  you look at them?  I learned how to make them and I'm going to teach you how.  Below are the steps and a card I made using them.  They're very easy to make.

Step 1  I chose 3 different colored 2 sided patterned papers.  These are from Echo Park.

Step 2 Using spellbinders square scalloped dies I cut squares out of the papers.  You can use any size you want depending on how large or small you want the pinwheel.  I used the 1-3/4 inch square.

Step 3  Cut a one inch slit in all four corners as shown below.

Step 4  Fold each corner back toward the middle as shown.

Here are my 3 pinwheels after making the folds.

Step 5  Add a button or whatever embellishment you'd like to the center of each one, gluing down the center part under the button.  I used glue dots.

Here is my finished card using the cute little pinwheels.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and will make pinwheels for your springtime cards.  Have FUN!

I hope you have a Fabulous Friday!  TGIF!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
