Tami Mayberry Team Blog Hop

Hi Everybody!  It's almost time for the Gina K Release Party!!!  The party starts at 11am at StampTV.
While we are waiting for the new release, Tami Mayberry and her design team have a few cards to share using her new stamps called Ticket Trio!!

Here is the card I created using the Ticket Trio set that will be available for purchase through Gina K Designs this morning along with Tami's other stamp sets.

I used Gina K Designs Cranberry Tart card stock along with K&Company patterned paper.  The butterfly image is from Gina K Designs Celebrate the Season by Theresa Momber.  The 2 sentiments are of course from Tami Mayberry's new Ticket Trio set.  This set is SO FUN to work with!  I made the medallion from a tutorial that Tami has in the newest issue of Cardmaker magazine.  The corner frame is from Cheery Lynn.

Again, here is a sneak peek of Tami's new Ticket Trio stamp set.

Outlawz Challenge - ZOO TRIP

Hi Everybody!  I am so happy to be hosting my first challenge on The Outlawz.  Last week's strawberry challenge really got me in the mood for Summer!!!  All the cards looked good enough to eat.  It's amazing how real you can make a strawberry look.
This week the challenge is you to think ZOO TRIP... think ANIMAL PRINTS!!!  YES!!
Use ANIMAL PRINT PAPER, RIBBON OR IMAGES for your inspiration!!!

This is the card I made for the challenge....

The tree branch is from Gina K Designs stamp set called Celebrate The Season by Theresa Momber.  The monkey image and sentiment are from Hero Arts, Playful Animals.  I used Sand and Chocolate Brown card stock from Gina K Designs.  The  patterned paper is from Paper Studio (from Hobby Lobby) called Safari.     I used Spellbinders Curved Rectangles and colored with Copics.  The twine came from The Twinery.

Please plan on joining in the fun and playing this week in our challenge.  You can click on the icon at the top right of this page where it says 'I'm a Member of the Outlawz' and it will take you directly to the site. Then click on 'challenges' at the top of the screen and Monday Challenge.

House Mouse Stamps

Hi everybody!  A friend of mine introduced me to the House Mouse stamps and I think they're so cute.  They're not really my style but for a change, I like them . You can get them at Hobby Lobby for about $9.49 but I got one from Etsy for $5.00 and one from Ebay for $6.50.  Here are a couple of cards I made using these stamps.

This one is called Tickling the Ivories.  I recently inherited my Grandmother's piano so when I saw this one I knew I had to have it.

I think these stamps are cute enough without even coloring them but I added some color with copics.  I stamped Happy Birthday on the pages with a stamp from Gina K Designs, Masculine Tags, by Tami Mayberry.  The Red Hot card stock is also from Gina K.

This one is called Eek Eek Eek.  I made this for a friend's birthday.  I thought the stamp and sentiment went so well together.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs stamp due called Just Calling To Say.  The patterned paper is from Paper Studios from Hobby Lobby called Deju Blue.  I used a Spellbinders Grommet Tag with bronze brads.  I thought this one was cute enough to only color in the mouse.

I hope you thought these cards were as cute as I do.  I love stamps that can stand by themselves.  They're so cute you don't have to do much to them.  Makes for a quick, easy card.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

More Father's Day Cards....

Hi everybody!  I made a couple more Father's Day cards that I'd like to share with you.  I hope I'm providing some ideas for you in regards to making masculine cards.

The golf bag stamp is called PXG1677, the sentiment is computer generated.  The embossing folder is by Stampin' Up called Textured Impressions, Square Lattice.  I used copics to color the image.

This image is from Gina K Designs by Tami Mayberry called Masculine Tags.  I used Gina K Little Boy Blue card stock, kraft paper and patterned paper called Pool Side. The twine is from The Twinery.

Don't be afraid to make masculine cards.  I know they're not as easy as ones that have flowers and ribbon on them but you can use twine, buttons, jute, etc., so masculine cards can still be 'decorated.' That's my opinion anyway.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Outlawz Challenge - Strawberry Pickens

This week's Outlawz Monday Greetings Team challenge is called Strawberry Pickens.  Think Summer, think Strawberries.... your card must have strawberries on it.

This is the card I made for the challenge....

The image and sentiment are from Gina K Designs new set by Theresa Momber called Sweet Strawberries.  The  patterned paper is from Gina K Designs, top half called Sunshiney Day and bottom half called Vines and Berries.  I used glossy accents on the strawberries to give them some dimension and shine.  I used Spellbinders Floral Ovals and colored with Copics.  The twine came from The Twinery and ribbon from my stash.

Please plan on joining in the fun and playing this week in our challenge.  You can click on the icon at the top right of this page where it says 'I'm a Member of the Outlawz' and it will take you directly to the site. Then click on 'challenges' at the top of the screen and Monday Challenge.

I hope you'll play this week.  Every Monday the Greetings team changes challenges.  You can win prizes!

Have Some Birthday Cheer

Hi everybody!  Does your mouth water when you see a picture of a frozen drink?  Well let's put that to the test.  I made this card for a challenge on Gina K Designs.  The challenge is called 'How Charming' in which a charm has to be used somewhere on the card.   I used the charm like a drink locator.  At parties sometimes you'll receive a charm to hang on your drink so that you know which one is yours if you set it down.  Just a fun card to make!

The image is from Gina K Designs Sweet Strawberries by Theresa Momber.  The sentiment is also from Gina K Designs Petals and Wings kit. The strawberry patterned paper on the bottom of the card is called Vines and Berries and the top is called On The Red Carpet, both by Gina K Designs.  I used glossy accents on the strawberry and drink to make them shiny.  I used copic markers to color the image and lightly sponged with Momento Sky Blue ink.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Thank You to our Soldiers

Hi everybody!  I made a card for a challenge on Gina K Designs to thank our soldiers for their service.  It had to be a thank you card and bright colors only.  This is what I came up with.

I'm pretty sure the digital image is from Doodle Pantry and the sentiment is computer generated.  I used the branches Cuttlebug embossing folder and a Spellbinders die.

I personally do not spend as much time as I should thanking our soldiers.  As many cards as I make, I should mail some to the soldiers to send to their families.  Many of you probably already do this but if you don't, why don't we make a promise to ourselves to start sharing our love of card making with the soldiers who are separated from their families and would like to send a Happy Birthday, Thinking of You or Hello.  Just something to think about......

I hope you're having a great week so far.

Thank you for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Just Two Cards....

Hi everybody!  Somebody asked me to make a birthday card.  The criteria, black and pink and just make it pretty so here's what I came up with.

The flowers are cut out with Cheery Lynn dies called Judy's Blooms.  I just cut 2 each of the large and small ones and stacked them.

Next I made a Father's Day card.....

The lighthouse stamp is by Stampabilities called Beacon of Light.  The sentiment is Stampin Up. I used copic markers to color then sponged the card with Momento Sky Blue ink.

I hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Outlawz Greetings Team Challenge-Peace for Purple

Hi everybody!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday.  I hope you made it a 'me' day.  I don't have children but I do have 3 dogs that are like kids to me.  :)

Today's Greeting Card Challenge over at The Outlawz is called Peace for Purple.  You just need to make, you guessed it, a purple card.

I used the image and sentiment from Gina K Designs set called One in a Million.  It's currently FREE with the purchase of three stamp sets.  I used Gina's Vibrant Violet card stock and matching ribbon.  This card stock is so pretty, it kind of has a soft linen look to it.  The patterned paper is from Gina as well called Wisteria Lane.  I used the Spellbinders mega oval and scalloped mega oval, sponged around the sentiment with Momento Grape Jelly ink and used silver liquid pearls in the centers of the flowers.

You can click on the icon at the top right of this page where it says 'I'm a Member of the Outlawz' and it will take you directly to the site.  I hope you'll play in our challenge this week.  Every Monday the Greetings team changes challenges.  You can win prizes!

More Father's Day Cards...

Hi everybody!  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend.  The excitement of my weekend is that I got a piano. It was my Grandmother's who passed away last year.  I actually learned how to play on that piano so it has sentimental value.  I'm so thrilled to have the piano, just wish it could have been under different circumstances.

Yesterday I made a couple of Father's Day cards.  I know that it can be a challenge to make masculine cards so I hope I can give you a few ideas.

The image stamp is from Stampabilities called Motorcycle and the sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Gone Fishing stamp set.  The patterned paper looks like canvas.  It is also from Gina K Designs called Casual Friday.

This image is from Inkadinkado.  The patterned paper is from Gina K Casual Friday patterned paper pack.  This paper pack is wonderful for masculine cards and there is also coordinating card stock available to match.

Next I'll be making more golf Father's Day cards along with some fishing ones.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Girlie Birthday Card

Hi everybody!  TGIF!!  A good friend of mine asked me to make a birthday card for her granddaughter. She wanted a girlie card, purple and pink with butterflies somehow on it.  Here's what I came up with.

I used Gina K Designs Vibrant Violant and Passionate Pink card stock.  The glittery floral patterned paper is from DCWV The Sweet.  You gotta have some glitter on a card for a little girl right?  The lacey butterflies are from the Cheery Lynn Exotic Butterfly set. I just cut a circle and a large scalloped circle from Spellbinders dies and voila a cute little girl card.

I hope everyone has some plans to do some kind of crafting this weekend.  Try to fit it in, kind of like exercise! LOL!  Exercise   Make Cards     Exercise    Make Cards     I'm choosing making cards.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Berries and Vines

Hi everybody!  This week has really flown by.  I bought some patterned paper from Gina K Designs called Berries and Vines and was itching to use it so here's the card I made.  Just a simple, happy card that I hope will make someone's day.

The frame is from Gina K Designs Lovely Labels and the sentiment is from the set called One In A Million.  By the way, you can get the One In A Million stamp set free right now with the purchase of 3 stamp sets.

That's it for me today.  I hope you have a great day.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow.

Father's Day Card

Hi everybody!  I'm officially finished making Mother's Day cards.  Can you believe I was non-stop busy for over a month making those for people?  It was my busiest time yet.  I've made my first Father's Day card.  I know, it's not even Mother's Day yet but us card makers have to think in advance.  I mean, come on, when do you start making your Christmas cards?  Some people make them starting mid-Summer.

I have a lot of friends down South in Mississippi where I'm from that like to hunt, fish, etc., so this first one is a hunting theme.  Hopefully I'll be able to give you some ideas on making masculine cards.  I know it's extremely difficult for me to think of ideas.

I think it turned out pretty good.  I'm lovin' the camoflage ribbon.  See, you can put ribbon on a masculine card!  LOL  The stamp is from Stampabilities called Buck Head.  The black card stock is from Gina K Designs, Black Onyx.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Gone Fishing stamp set.

Well I'm going to get busy now making more Father's Day cards.  This will keep me busy until I play in another challenge.  Stamp TV has a challenge due by Thursday at 8pm in which you have to make a birthday card in your style.  That's easy enough right?  Hmmm, what's my style?  I think it varies from day to day from mood to mood.  Doesn't everything for a woman?  LOL

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Gone Fishing

Hi everybody!  I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday.  Yesterday I made a card for someone's son's birthday.  He loves fishing!

I used Gina K Designs Gone Fishing stamp set for the image and sentiment.  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  The paper is from Bazzill and My Mind's Eye.

I hope you liked my card.  Have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Lacey Borders and Other Things

Hi everybody!  I hope you're having a great weekend.  It goes by way too fast.  It is 90 degrees in the St. Louis area right now.  It's too soon for these temps!  I'm not a big fan of hot, humid weather.

I have 2 chocolate labs names Pebbles and Bambam that are almost 13 years old.  I almost feel like I gave birth to them because I got them when they were only 5 weeks old.  They're really going downhill and it's making me so sad.  Bambam is starting to have trouble going up and down the stairs.  He fell down a few one day and another he got stranded trying to go up the stairs.  If you've seen or read Marley and Me you know what I'm talking about. If you've had this experience with an older dog please tell me what I should do.  Something that is very strange is that both dogs began having problems figuring out how to start going up the stairs.  They stand there lifting one foot and then another up and down but can't seem to figure out that they need to step up.  They both starting this at the very same time.  Any thoughts on this?

Okay, let's talk about cards.  I received the Lacey Borders stamp set from Gina K Designs and I love it!  This set looks so real.  I can't believe how detailed it is.  You can stamp them any color, emboss them, use Pearl Ex on them, well you get the picture.  Lots of versatility and no one way is right or wrong.

Here's a card I made using this set.

The patterned pink damask paper is from the Gina K Designs Petals and Wings kit.  The lace and sentiment is from the new Lacey Borders set.  There are 4 different laces in this set.  You can now have any color lace that you desire.

A friend of mine asked me to make a birthday card for a St. Louis Cardinals fan so this is what I created for him. The pendent stamp is from the new Gina K Designs Basket Additions 2 by Melanie Muenchinger.  I just grabbed the logo off the internet. The sentiment is computer generated.

If you love digital images, you can receive two freebies every two weeks for the Creative Freebie Challenge (CFC).  Just go to the Outlawz website, click on challenges and the very last one is the CFC challenge.  Just follow the instructions on how to receive your two images.

The following two cards were made using the two images for this week's challenge.  The two super talented ladies that are responsible for drawing these images are Anne Fenton and Sandi Huggett, both Outlawz Designers.

If you create at least one project with these images, you'll automatically receive two more the next time the challenge rolls around, two weeks later.

The Outlawz are growing like weeds.  If you haven't checked out this wonderful website, I urge you to do so.  If you like challenges, you'll have a blast!

I hope you liked my cards.  I'm so glad I'm getting back in the groove of writing everyday.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

I'm Back

Hi Everybody!  I think things are finally winding down in regards to making Mother's Day cards.  I'm so ready to make what I want to make.  Don't get me wrong, I love the money I make from the cards because I buy more supplies with it but it can be taxing after awhile.  So I should be back on track to write on my blog everyday again.

I made this card for a challenge on Gina K Designs, Stamp TV.  The challenge is to make a square card.

The image and greeting are from the Petals and Wings kit from Gina K Designs.  The paper is from DCWV,
The Linen Closet. This is a great neutral paper pack that I bought at Hobby Lobby.  72 sheets for $8.99 half price from that.  Great deal!  I used white and brown pearls also and liquid pearls in the centers of the flowers. Liquid Pearls are so awesome, especially if you don't have pearls or the size you want.  You can make them any size.  Love that!

I hope you're having a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!

Liebster Blog Award

Thank you to Sean at Card Crafty Club for choosing me to receive the Liebster Award.  Sean, I appreciate this so much.   Please stop by Sean's blog and look at his gorgeous creations!

"The origins of the Liebster Blog award are somewhat unclear but the general consensus is that it originated in Germany, Liebster meaning favorite or dearest, to showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon accepting the award the recipient must then pass it on to five more blogs of note."

Without further adieu, here's what you do as a presenter of this award!

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.
3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.
4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve.
5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.
So, now it's my turn to pay it forward, my picks for fellow bloggers with less than 200 followers, in no particular order, are as follows:

1. Angela Bonanno from Oklahoma Cricuteer
2. Michele Smith from Michele's Craft Room
3. Nicke Chickpea from Nik Nak Crafty Happiness
4. Ina Grehan from Little Bits of Craft
5. Crafty Math Chick from Canines and Card Designs

Now, if each of the 5 people I have chosen would please choose 5 of their own!

Thanks again to Sean for the Liebster Blog Award!
