Gina K Designs Release Party Today!

The day we've all been waiting for is here...the Gina K Release Party!  Woo Hoo!  The party is today at Stamp TV.com from 11am - 1pm CST.  There will be lots of party chit chat, challenges, contest questions and beautiful samples by the designers using the new stamps.

Masculine Anniversary Card

Hi everybody!  Somebody asked me to make an anniversary card for their husband.  I was kind of stumped because  I usually make them with pearls, embossing, etc.   Here is the card I ended up making.....

I wasn't sure if the embossing would look too feminine but I think it works with the rest of the card.  I'm happy with the results.  I think you can't go wrong with black and white for male or female.  I think it looks classy, don't you?

Don't be intimated about making a masculine card for any occasion.  Start with black and white as your color combo and I think you can't go wrong.

Calli Lilly Digital Image

Hi everybody!  I just wanted to share a card that I made for the Creative Freebie Challenge at The Outlawz.  This image is a Calli Lilly by Anne Fenton. 

I colored the image with copics and used the spellbinders beaded oval.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs One in a Million stamp set.

Stamp TV Chat and Challenge - Tickled Pink

Sometimes a color this bright can be a challenge to use on a project. I thought this was a fun challenge in which I used a color I normally do not use.

Outlawz Challenge - Tic Tacky Toe

Hi everybody!  Another Monday means another Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge.  I'm happy to be hosting today's challenge called Tic-Tacky-Toe. 

The rules are simple.  Choose any three embellishments going any direction and create using those items.

Boxed Set of Cards

Whether you sell your cards or give them to friends and family as gifts, everyone seems to love the boxed set of various occasion cards.  I sell a lot of these, usually 8-12 cards in a box.  I've made birthday, get well, sympathy, new baby, congratulations on new home, thinking of you and just a note cards for my sets.  I just finished a set of 10 and here are some of the cards in the set....

 

Various Occasion Cards make great gifts for family and friends.  When you are making your cards, think about what would be appropriate for a boxed set and start boxing them up and you'll have wonderful gifts ready to go and a purpose for all of those cards sitting around....

Tami Mayberry's Ticket Trio-Baby Card

Hi everybody!  I have to say that I'm really getting a lot of use out of Tami Mayberry's new Ticket Trio stamp set sold by Gina K Designs.  I've used the stamps on birthday cards, get well cards, friendship cards and now I want to show you another baby card that I made. 

I made this card for somebody that wanted a cute baby boy card for a friend that just had a baby.  I thought the Ticket Trio set would be perfect.  All the little stamps you see are part of the set too, baby stroller, small words on sides of ticket.

Outlawz Challenge - Father's Day/Great Outdoors

Hi everybody!  I was so excited to host the challenge last week featuring cards with animal print paper, ribbons, images, etc.  Animal prints are so fun! 

This week the challenge is to make a Father's Day/Great Outdoors card.

Dies and Embossing Folders

Hi everybody!  I finally got through the Father's Day card rush.  It wasn't nearly as busy as Mother's Day but still busy in addition to what I normally have going on with card making. 

I made these cards using dies on each one that I haven't used in awhile.  I have a Big Shot and I love it.  It seems now the thing to have is a Silhouette.  I'm pretty sure I'll be jumping on that Silhouette bandwagon any day now.  If you have one, please let me know how you like it.

Try to pull out some dies and embossing folders that you haven't used in awhile.  You might get lots of new ideas!

Tami Mayberry's Ticket Trio and Girl Talk

Hi everybody!  I made a cute card using two of Tami Mayberry's stamp sets... Ticket Trio which was released last week and Girl Talk both sold by Gina K Designs.  I used GK Designs paper, Black Onyx card stock and the patterned paper is called Sunshiney Day. I used the classic rectangles and scalloped rectangles by Spellbinders.  Twine is from The Twinery and I colored with a Sakura glitter pen in pink to give it some shine in addition to the rhinestones.

The Ticket Trio set is so versatile, it can be used on any card that you're making and Girl Talk is a cute, fun set perfect to sent to your girlfriends.  Pictures of both sets are below.

Tech Talk

Hi everybody!  I made a card using Melanie Muenchinger's Tech Talk stamp set from Gina K Designs.  This set is so perfect for your computer loving friends and family.  I love using it for masculine cards, which is what I did here.  I made a Father's Day card for someone.

Isn't that cute??  The inside says Password: I Love You.  Some of the other stamps are the frequently used computer chat and text acronyms and symbols such as LOL, :), ;), :o, etc.  There is even a left and right handed mouse and cord.  I'll post a picture of the set below.

The patterned paper is from Gina K Designs Casual Friday and I colored the images with copics.

Tech Talk

La La Land Crafts

Hi everybody!  Someone told me about La La Land Crafts so I went to their website and I have to say that their stamps are SO cute!  You can buy red rubber etched stamps or digital stamps.  I bought both, the digis so that I could practice coloring with my copic markers.  I'm taking a copic marker class online from Suzanne Dean called Color Me Creative and she said these images are great for coloring because there's a lot of space in each section to color (face, hair, clothing).

Here is a card I made using one of their rubber stamps called Summer Lucky.

Isn't that cute??  He is enjoying his Summer.  LOL!  I used Gina K Designs Little Boy Blue card stock and the patterned paper is called Pool Side, how appropriate.  The white organza ribbon is also from Gina K.  I colored the image with copic markers.

I hope you'll check out this website.  I'm sure you'll think the stamps are as cute as I do.

Happy Graduation Day!

Hi everybody!  Another great Gina K Designs release has come and gone.  I hope you placed your order.  Are you trying her new clear photopolymer stamps?  These are high quality clear stamps not like the dollar kind.  Give them a try!  I bet you'll want to add them to your collection from now on because it makes stamping so much easier because you can see where you're stamping.  No more stamp-a-ma-jig.  LOL!

I made two graduation cards for someone in their school colors.  I think these are great CAS cards.  The sentiment is from Tami Mayberry's Special Occasion Tags.  I embossed both of them with silver and gold detail embossing powder and I think it turned out great.  I used the Labels 8 spellbinders die, and popped in some brads.

 The image of the cute shoes are from Gina K Designs, Springtime Silhouettes and of course the sentiment is from Tami Mayberry's Ticket Trio set.  The cardstock is from Gina K Designs called Turquoise Sea. I embossed the cardstock with the houndstooth Cuttlebug embossing folder.

  The sentiment is from the Ticket Trio set by Tami Mayberry.  The patterned paper is from K&Company.  I used Cheery Lynn dies on this one.  The flowers are called Judy's Blooms and the corner frame is called Lace Corner. 

This card makes an easy CAS masculine card. Here I used 3 of the Spellbinders Stars dies and Tami's Ticket Trio stamp for the sentiment. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder, Swiss Dots.
