Monthly Challenge Using "Chopped" Ingredients

Hi everybody!  Today's card is an unusual one.  I received a packet of supplies in the mail and had to make a card using those supplies, kind of like the show called Chopped on the Food Network.

We received some blue foil, a sheet of white chevrons, a small envelope, googly eyes, 2 arrow shaped paper clips, and a sheet of acetate.  This is what I came up with....

This was not an easy challenge but I think it turned out really cute.  You can't hardly see the sentiment.  It says Who Who Who's Sick?  LOL

If you want to see more cards for this challenge, please go to Crafty Card Gallery.  If you leave a comment, you can win a prize.  The prize this month is a digital copy of the new magazine called Creations by Crafty Card Gallery.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Creating with Clearsnap blog hop

Hi everybody! I think it's interesting to find out what products my fellow crafters like to use so today's bloghop is going to showcase Tami Mayberry's new Grand Tags stamp (in red rubber and clear) set and a few of my favorite products.  By the way, check out Tami's new logo above.  Isn't it perfect for her?  Very clean and crisp just like some ink I'll be telling you about below.  :)

Clearsnap ink has quickly become one of my favorite inks.  They were kind enough to send my design team and I ink samples and I was very impressed I have to say.  I couldn't believe how vibrant the color was.  I compared it to another popular brand of ink and hands down, Clearsnap won in the vibrancy department.  The ink really hugged the stamp and provided a crisp image as well.  The other plus is that it is a dye ink so it dried really fast.   Take a minute and check out Clearsnap's Blog and for those of you who haven't tried Clearsnap (also know as Colorbox), I did a comparison against another very popular ink and below are the pictures....
In this comparison, the top is Clearsnap ink.  See how much more vibrant it is than the bottom one?  It almost looks like it's 3-D, jumping off the paper.

In this example using Tami Mayberry's Grand Tags stamp, the bottom one is Clearsnap.  Again, see that it is darker and more vibrant?  The color is just richer looking.  I noticed that it really clung to the stamp resulting in the stamped image being perfectly crisp, clear and the perfect color ink.

This is a card I made using Tami's new Grand Tags stamp set.  I used Clearsnap ink for this image and sentiment.  Notice how good it looks.  :)

Ink - Clearsnap Colorbox in the color Kettle
Card stock - Gina K Design black onyx, Martha Stewart Silver

This is the hop list.  Tami will be giving away a prize on her blog that includes some Clearsnap products and stamps to one person who has left a comment on her blog. Tami Mayberry's New Grand Tags Stamp Set

Hi Everybody!!!  If you were at the Stamp TV release party last week, you saw the new Grand Tags stamp set by Tami Mayberry. You can purchase this set from Gina K Designs in the red rubber or new photopolymer clear.  I got the set this time in the clear for the first time and I have to say that I'm very impressed.  I LOVE seeing where I'm stamping, especially words.  Anybody want my stamp-a-ma-jig?  LOL!

I made a couple of cards with the Grand Tags stamp that I'd like to share with you.  You can also check out Tami's blog, to see more inspiration....

The first one is very special and sentimental to me.  I am dedicating this one to my Grandmother, who passed away last June.  She taught me how to play the piano by putting a piece of masking tape across the front of the piano with the letters of the keys written on it.  I inherited that piano and it is so special to me.  I think about her everytime I see it.  Here is my card....

Supplies:
Gina K Designs Grand Tags stamp set by Tami Mayberry
Ink in Kettle by Clearsnap Colorbox
Gina K Designs card stock in Black Onyx and Red Hot
Gina K Designs black gingham ribbon
Martha Stewart punch
Colored the tag with a red copic marker
Buttons from Archivers
Gems from my stash

I think this card makes a great non-gender card.  The colors are perfect for anyone.

Supplies:
Gina K Designs Grand Tags stamp set by Tami Mayberry
Ink by Momento in Teal Zeal
Gina K Designs card stock in Black Onyx
Gina K Designs teal plaid patterned paper
Brown patterned paper by Paper Studios, Natural Botanicals
Fiskars scallop punch
Ribbon and brown pearls from my stash

This new stamp set is great to use to let Grandparents or Grandchildren know how special they are.  Below is a picture of all of the stamps in the set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Non-Gender Cards

Hi everybody!  I hope you had a great 4th of July holiday.  We stayed at home this year, which was fine with me.  It was too HOT to go out.  We had 112 heat index yesterday.

People are always asking me for ideas on making masculine cards and/or CAS cards.  Here is a card that combines both.  It's really a non-gender card rather than just a masculine card.

The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Stenciled Spring stamp set.  I used the new Momento Teal Zeal ink for the first one and Olive Grove for the second one.  I stamped the backgrounds with a stamp called Leaf Patterns by All Night Media that I bought at Michaels.  I think it turned out really nice.  Perfect for anyone and you can put any sentiment you want, birthday, get well, etc.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Stamp TV Challenge Cards

Hi everybody!  I just wanted to share a couple of cards I made for Stamp TV challenges.  Go to Stamptv.com if you would like to join in the fun.

The first challenge is to use 4 different colors of ribbon on the card.  I have actually only used two colors at the most so this was challenging for me.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Smile stamp set.  I used orange, green, pink and yellow ribbons.  I also used orange and white twine in the buttons.  I think it's a fun, happy card!  The prize for this challenge is wait for it..... 40 yards of Gina K Luxury ribbons.  Would it be fabulous to win this or what??

This challenge is called Oldies but Goodies where an older stamp set was used by the person hosting the challenge.  She chose a rose from A Year of Flowers.  You have to use your favorite color rose, the color green and one more neutral color.  This rose is from that stamp set.  The sentiment is from Gina K Desgins Framed Greetings set. I colored the image with copics.  The prize for this challenge is a big grab bag full of Gina K Stamps.  Awesome prize!

I hope you'll have time to join in on these challenges.  I had a lot of fun making both of these cards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Monday Outlawz Challenge- Anything Goes

Hi everybody!  Today is the Greeting Card team's weekly challenge at The Outlawz.  The challenge this week is Anything Goes.  You can make any card you want, any theme, as long as it has a greeting on the front.  It doesn't even have to have an image on the front but it can.  This is the card I made....

This is a Mazey digital image and the sentiment is from Gina K Designs, Sweet Strawberries set by Theresa Momber.  The cardstock and patterned paper are also from Gina K Designs... The patterned paper is called Parisian Garden.  I colored the image with copics, used some bling on her belt and a Sakura Red Star glitter pen on the cupcake and heart on her belt.  I used an opaque white pen on the buttons on her boots.

I hope you can all join in the fun this week because we have a brand new sponsor for July.  Tami Mayberry of Tami Mayberry Art and Designs and Illustrator for Gina K Designs is sponsoring one of her fabulous stamp sets called Vintage Notes.  It is one of her newer stamp sets.  This challenge is so easy and the prize is so awesome that there is just no excuse not to play.  :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
