A Year of Flowers

I think we all need ideas from time to time and I've discovered an amazing resource that will help with this all year long!  If you've never heard of or seen Melanie Muenchinger's new book, A Year of Flowers, you must check it out.  It's a well written, beautifully illustrated book that shows cards that can be made all year long for each specific month of the year.  If it's March and I need an idea for a card, I just turn to March and there are some beautiful cards that I can make.  There is also a coordinating stamp set called A Year of Flowers that can be purchased at Gina K Designs.  Please don't let this one slip by.  It can be purchased from Gina K Designs, Annie's Attic or Amazon.  You'll find amazing reviews on Amazon so what are you waiting for.....

I used this book yesterday as a matter of fact.  I needed to make a birthday card for a friend so I turned to the March section and the card I made is below.

It looks almost like watercolor, so beautiful and soft.  I used direct to stamp technique for the flowers, stems and leaves.  Memento markers were used in Grape Jelly, Lulu Lavender, Summer Sky and Bamboo Leaves.  I used the Lacey Squares Spellbinders die.  The card stock is the Lovely Lavender, Vibrant Violet and White from Gina K Designs.  I used the greeting from the Gina K Petals and Wings kit.  The lavender pearls are from Martha Stewart.

Here's a close up of the flower.

See what I mean?  I never would've been able to create this on my own so please check out the book, A Year of Flowers and start making your own beautiful creations, All Year Long!

This is my matching 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 envelope....

I hope you liked my card.  Have a great day and Thanks for Stopping By!
