Lacey Borders and Other Things

Hi everybody!  I hope you're having a great weekend.  It goes by way too fast.  It is 90 degrees in the St. Louis area right now.  It's too soon for these temps!  I'm not a big fan of hot, humid weather.

I have 2 chocolate labs names Pebbles and Bambam that are almost 13 years old.  I almost feel like I gave birth to them because I got them when they were only 5 weeks old.  They're really going downhill and it's making me so sad.  Bambam is starting to have trouble going up and down the stairs.  He fell down a few one day and another he got stranded trying to go up the stairs.  If you've seen or read Marley and Me you know what I'm talking about. If you've had this experience with an older dog please tell me what I should do.  Something that is very strange is that both dogs began having problems figuring out how to start going up the stairs.  They stand there lifting one foot and then another up and down but can't seem to figure out that they need to step up.  They both starting this at the very same time.  Any thoughts on this?

Okay, let's talk about cards.  I received the Lacey Borders stamp set from Gina K Designs and I love it!  This set looks so real.  I can't believe how detailed it is.  You can stamp them any color, emboss them, use Pearl Ex on them, well you get the picture.  Lots of versatility and no one way is right or wrong.

Here's a card I made using this set.

The patterned pink damask paper is from the Gina K Designs Petals and Wings kit.  The lace and sentiment is from the new Lacey Borders set.  There are 4 different laces in this set.  You can now have any color lace that you desire.

A friend of mine asked me to make a birthday card for a St. Louis Cardinals fan so this is what I created for him. The pendent stamp is from the new Gina K Designs Basket Additions 2 by Melanie Muenchinger.  I just grabbed the logo off the internet. The sentiment is computer generated.

If you love digital images, you can receive two freebies every two weeks for the Creative Freebie Challenge (CFC).  Just go to the Outlawz website, click on challenges and the very last one is the CFC challenge.  Just follow the instructions on how to receive your two images.

The following two cards were made using the two images for this week's challenge.  The two super talented ladies that are responsible for drawing these images are Anne Fenton and Sandi Huggett, both Outlawz Designers.

If you create at least one project with these images, you'll automatically receive two more the next time the challenge rolls around, two weeks later.

The Outlawz are growing like weeds.  If you haven't checked out this wonderful website, I urge you to do so.  If you like challenges, you'll have a blast!

I hope you liked my cards.  I'm so glad I'm getting back in the groove of writing everyday.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow!
