Several crafty bloggers and I decided to post one holiday project a day for 12 days - just for fun.  The projects will be anything crafty like cards, ornaments, wreaths, advent calendars, etc… We’re posting projects we made using products we like and hope they will give you some inspiration for your own holiday craft projects. You will find links to all the other participating bloggers below. Hopefully you can find time to look at their blogs and leave comments on any that inspire you. Happy Holiday Crafting!!

This is  the card I made.

I used the stamps from Gina K Designs, Holiday Basket and Wishing You Joy.  The card stock and matching ribbon is Fresh Asparagus by Gina K Designs and the patterned paper is by Imaginisce.  The ink is Rhubarb Stalk and  Bamboo Leaves by Memento. I made the 3D poinsettia with the Cameo Silhouette.  The gems are from Kaiserkraft.

I'm On The Ribbon Carousel Design Team!

I'm so excited to be a part of the Ribbon Carousel Design Team. I am a huge fan of their products! If you like my cards, I'm sure I've used paper packs, ribbon, buttons or brads from their website. They're having a HUGE HUGE sale right now and lots of clearance items. If you go to my Facebook page, Cards by Regina and say hi, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a $10 gift certificate to their store. :)

I'm looking forward to working with the design team there because they post the most amazing cards to Facebook.  I know that I can learn from them and will be inspired everyday.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Embossing Folders on Christmas Cards

Hi everybody!  I made a couple of Christmas cards yesterday using Cuttlebug embossing folders.  Embossing folders are the easiest way to give your cards an elegant or interesting look.

I used Gina K Designs card stock in white and red hot.  The stamps are both from Gina K Designs.  The snowman is from Celebrate the Season by Theresa Momber and the greeting from Simple Snowflakes by Tami Mayberry.  I sponged Memento Danube Blue over the embossed part of the card to make it stand out.  The red ink is Tim Holtz, Festive Berries.

I used Gina K Designs ocean mist and white card stock along with Martha Stewart silver card stock.  The greeting is from Gina K Designs, Simple Snowflakes by Tami Mayberry.  I wanted to keep this card looking clean.  I really like this color combo.  The gems are from Kaiserkraft and Archivers.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Buckle Boutique Bling Challenge

Hi Everybody,
In a previous blog post I told you that I receive an envelope each month containing things to make a card.  It doesn't matter how much is used as long as it can be seen on the card.  This month, I received some soft gel gems from the Buckle Boutique.

Below is information about the product from Buckle Boutique.

Pink Rainbow Rhinestone or Diamond Jewel Sticker Sheet  - Easily add shine to cards, scrapbook pages, favors, apparel, personal electronics, anything that needs a little or lots of shine! The acryllic stones are continuous and butt up against each other on the entire sheet. No spaces! They are great if you wish to cover an entire surface quickly and easily.

These awesome sheets can be cut to meet your particular decorating needs with scissors as well as a paper cutter, Cricut (deep cut blade), Pazzle, Sizzix, Klick-N-Kut and the AccuCut! Because the "stones" are actually a gel or soft resin substance, they can be cut down the middle.

They have adhesive on the back that is exposed when the protective film is peeled off. These particular sheets measure 20" by 10". We also offer this great sticker in a smaller size as well as different patterns and colors.

NOTE:  I ran the sheets of gems through my Big Shot machine and it didn't cut them and crushed the gems even  though it says it can be used in a diecut machine.   They are able to be easily cut with scissors so that's what I did.
Below is my card.

The stamps are from Gina K Designs called Deck the Halls.  I added some rhinestones to the ornaments.  I used Kraft paper from Gina K Designs and designer paper from Echo Park called Very Merry Christmas.  I put the gems from
Buckle Boutique across the middle of the card.  I wish I would've had more to play around with.  The ribbon is seam binding ribbon from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I LOVE the seam binding ribbon from this company.  It lays so pretty, easy to work with and feels so silky and light.  I used Memento Rhubarb Stalk and Cottage Ivy to stamp the
ornaments and greetings.

It's harder than it sounds to make a card using random items sent for that purpose.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Frosted and Stained Glass Poinsettias

Hi everybody!  I'm back after spending a few days with my Mom over Thanksgiving.  I hope you had a wonderful holiday.

I made 3 cards for Christmas with poinsettias on them that I wanted to share.  These cards are from Melanie Muenchinger's book, A Year of Flowers.

I used the poinsettia from the Gina K Designs, A Year of Stamps, by Melanie Muenchinger.  I enjoyed embossing and coloring with copics on the vellum on all three cards.  I used white embossing powder on the first two and gold embossing powder on the third one.   The first two are frosted poinsettias and the third is stained glass poinsettia. I think they all look very elegant.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Baby's 1st Christmas

Hi everybody!  There's something special about a baby's 1st Christmas.  We all know they won't remember it but it's special because we will.  Below is a card I made for a friend to give to her niece that had a baby recently.

I used Gina K Designs White and Ocean Mist card stock.  The patterned paper is from Carta Bella, Merry & Bright.  I used Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Petites in the center of the card.  The ornament frame was cut by my Cameo Silhouette.  The greeting is computer generated.  I sponged Memento Summer Sky on the greeting ribbon banner and the border across the middle.  The clear gems are from Archivers.

The picture in the frame is the baby's first picture so I thought it would be cute as the baby's 1st Christmas photo as well.

Winter Wishes

Hi Everybody!  I hope you get to enjoy the extra hour from daylight savings today.  Get some extra sleep or maybe craft!

Yesterday I made a card using a Gina K Designs stamp set called Simple Snowflakes by Tami Mayberry.  I think this is a great card to send out after the first of the year if you're too busy to send out Christmas cards during the holiday season.

I used Gina K Designs card stock in White and Red Hot.  I used Memento Summer Sky ink for the blue ones.  The red ones are Tim Holt Festive Berries for the small ones and the focal image is Clearsnap Cherry ink. The gems are from Kaiserkraft and the ribbon and button are from my stash.

Wouldn't you agree that this would be a perfect card to use to wish someone a Happy New Year?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Stamp TV Oldies but Goodies Challenge

Hi everybody,
I hope if you live on the East Coast that you're safe.  You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I made a card for the Stamp TV Oldies but Goodies challenge.  The challenge is called "Be Thankful", to make a thank you card.

I used Gina K Designs card stock called fresh asparagus.  The stamps (background and image stamps) are also by Gina K Designs called Flowers for Daisy by Asela Hopkins.  I made my own dp by stamping the background with one of the stamps in Momento Bamboo Leaves ink. I colored the image with copic markers. Ribbon also by Gina K Designs, fresh asparagus to match the card stock. This stamp set was introduced in 2008 and I haven't used it in awhile so it's my Oldies but Goodies set for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
