Stampin' Up Just For You Card

Hi Everybody,

I am loving the large stamps and dies lately like I'm sure you are too.  I ran across a Stampin' Up set called Botanicals For You and just had to use the huge stamp, Just For You. This would be great on a tag as well.

The recipient of the card likes blues and greens but as I was putting the card together, I saw that coral piece of patterned paper on my desk and thought it would look good with a little pop of that color,  I sponged with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass and Hero Arts Mint Julep.  I embossed the Just For You stamp with Stampendous Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.  I used Gina K Designs Turquoise Sea Cardstock and a Gina Marie Designs Banner Stitched Die on the inside.  The inside sentiment also is a part of the Stampin' Up Botanicals For You stamp set.  The rectangle stitched die on the front of the card is from Lawn Fawn and I am in love with these clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I Brake For White Washed Flowers

Hi everybody!

I really love the stamp set that I'm using today.  It is called Ballerina, Flowers and Numbers from I Brake For Stamps.  Here's what it looks like:

This set has so any possibilities!  I am envisioning mixed media projects for the future but today I used the White Wash Technique.  I used the stamp with the flowers, script and dots, the butterfly and the love infinity stamp.  I love how it turned out!

I embossed the flowers with white embossing powder, took a water brush and used white pigment ink to water color the flowers to give them the 'white wash' look.  Let this dry or heat dry.  Then I just used some Fired Brick distress ink with water to give the flowers a soft color.  I had originally embossed the script white too but I decided I wanted the script part black so I masked off the flowers, stamped in black and fussy cut the flowers out that I had embossed white and used pop dots to give it some height next to the script.  I embossed the small butterfly with black ink and clear embossing powder and used a little of the Fired Brick distress ink to coordinate with the flowers and used pop dots with it also.  I stamped the love infinity symbol stamp at the bottom and used some black glitter enamel dots on each side.  I used a distress tool to distress the edges of the black and kraft card stock.  Finally, I used clear Wink of Stella on the butterfly.

Remember to use Coupon Code SAVE10REGINA to receive 10% off of your order.  I'll be using this set more in the future to show you different ways to use it.

Cards using MFT Stencils

Hi everybody!

I just wanted to share a couple cards that I made yesterday.  I made the Thank You card for my next door neighbor's Mother, who stayed here overnight and kept Barney when I went out of town to St. Louis.  I know, you think my having a 'baby sitter' for Barney is insane right?  He would be scared if he had to be here by himself all night because he never has.  :)

I just made a simple background using a My Favorite Stamps stencil called Scrolled BG.  I inked it up with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  The Thanks die is a Lawn Fawn die called Scripty Thanks.  I use these scripty dies a lot.  I topped it off with a few sequins and used some Wink of Stella Clear glitter pen over the word, thanks to give it a subtle sparkle.

I made this card for someone whose Father recently passed away.  I know she doesn't like pink so I made the flowers blue.  I used a My Favorite Things stencil called Rose Builder.  I love this stencil!  It is so relaxing to use this stencil and mask and just take your time.  That's what I did, went around the card masking as I went with Post It Masking Tape.

I ended up stamping a sentiment inside.  It said, Sending Thoughts and Prayers Your Way.  I used ink colors, Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass and Bamboo Leaves by Memento.

I hope you liked my cards!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

By the way.... My BLOG IS FIXED!  The JOIN THIS SITE is FIXED.  It no longer goes to an error message.  So happy about this!
