Dahlia Bouquet with Watercolor

Hi Everybody,

Well, I showed a pic of this piece of cardstock to my Stamp Junkies group because I was upset that I stamped the sentiment crooked so I asked if I should cut the bouquet off, trash it, how to fix it.  Everybody said it was fine like it is, that it even looks intentional. So, I made a card with it.  It still bothers me that it's crooked because it wasn't intentional lol.  I put the stamp on my beloved MISTI and my husband called me wanting me to look at something and when I went back to the card, I just inked up the stamp and stamped.  I thought I had already put it on straight.  

Thank you for your feedback my Junkie Friends, if any of you read my blog.  I appreciate you all so much.  There have been days when you all put a smile on my face when there wasn't one.  There have been days when you made me look at a situation through different eyes.  I am inspired everyday by the amazing creations going down the group post.  I'm so thankful to have found this group.  :)

I embossed this with white embossing powder I think, I can't hardly see anymore without readers.  I embossed several of these with different stamped flowers in white, clear and silver pearl.  Some I will take my time and actually watercolor and when I don't have much time, I will use the Zig Markers and water and make them like this.

Stay Classy and Sassy Watercolor Card

Hi Everybody,

I needed a quick card for someone so I took one of the embossed card panels that I made up a couple of weeks ago and scribbled Zig Markers all over it and spritzed with water.  This is my new go to technique when I don't have time to watercolor.  This is my fake watercoloring lol.

The stamp set I used is from WPlus9 called Beautiful Bouquets Dahlias.  The sentiment is from WPlus9 also called Southern Sentiments.  I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed over it with clear embossing powder to give it some shine.  I used Bristol Smooth Paper for this technique.  I cut a black piece of card stock out with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Large Rectangle Die.

Easy Card Using A Die As A Stencil

Hi Everybody,

I was looking through all my dies and I ran across a set that I have never used.  I remembered that I had bought them because I saw someone do some cool things with them but of course now I can't remember what it was.  

The set is Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2.  I used the die that looks like a flourish like a stencil and colored it in with Zig Markers.  It was so much fun too!  Then I realized I already have these in real stencils LOL!!!  It will be fun to use these dies for the inlaid die technique as well.  

So first I cut out the die and used some semi-heavy card stock since I am using it as a stencil.  I taped this 'stencil' over a piece of watercolor paper.  I chose 2 colors of Zig Markers that I liked and colored in the stencil.   

I stamped a sentiment from WPlus9 called Southern Sentiments with my Versafine Onyx Black cube and embossed with clear powder.  I LOVE this cube by the way because I used to always drop the regular sized pad and I can handle this cube without getting it all over the place.

For the card stock, I used Gina K Designs Tomato Soup and Passionate Pink.  I cut them so that you would see the pink on two sides and the orange on the other two sides.  I just wanted to do something different. 

I added a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and brushed over the flourish with a clear Wink of Stella brush glitter pen to finish it off.  You can flick water droplets on it if you would like to as well.

Card Made from Live Video Technique with Zig Markers

Did you see the LIVE FB Video I did a few days ago??  I can't believe I did a live video but it was actually fun.  I did have my phone backwards but hey, it was my first one.... the main thing is you could see the technique being done.  I look forward to doing more videos in the future.  I hope you'll subscribe to my YouTube channel.  


This is the card I made from the "Zig Scribble" Technique that I showed on the video. Isn't it gorgeous???  I'm telling you, you can't mess this up.  Anything you do will be awesome.

I love the bright colors.  You can somewhat control how light or dark your colors are by how much you spray with water and the color markers you choose.  I chose purple and dark pink as two of mine so it's a little dark.  

Please Note:  Use Bristol Smooth Paper

I embossed a word background which I think turned out beautiful, by Heartfelt Creations called Large Elegant Background Words.  I used Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder which I think is a must to have in your stash.  I stamped 'I Love' in Versafine Onyx Black Ink and put Clear Embossing Powder over it to give it a little shine.  This is from Simon Says Stamp called You Matter.  The large You is a die from this set that matches the large stamp.  I cut it out with black and then a silver pearl vellum.  I wanted it to look like a slight shadow behind the silver pearl. The silver pearl vellum didn't show up quite as much as I wanted it to.  The vellum is from Graphix called Specialty Assortment.  It is 40# so it is a good weight, not real flimsy and cut good with the die. 

I finished it off by adding a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope I inspired you to try this technique.  I wanted to make a video to show you it is easy, fast and great results.  This technique really does only take a minute.  It took longer for me on the video because I just wanted to demonstrate how you can keep spritzing and what the result would be and using a paint brush to move ink around, etc.

I hope you'll stick with me as I start my YouTube video endeavor hopefully within the next week.  My husband took over the project of establishing a video area and setup so it's taken more time than I expected lol.  I am blessed because he said he wanted to provide all the tools to help make me successful.  Awwww!

A New Day Encouragement Card

Hi Everybody,

I want to share a card I made for someone going through a difficult time.  I hope this is an appropriate card for her situation.  

I used a WPlus9 stamp called A New Day.  

I decided to stamp with my Tim Holtz Oxide Inks.  I used Fossilized Amber for the background using an Impression Obsession stamp called Canvas.  I stamped the script words with Vintage Photo using a stamp from Heartfelt Creation called Large Elegant Words.  I used the heat gun because the ink was so wet. These oxide inks stamp really good!  I embossed the bird stamp using Versamark Ink and Zing Chestnut Embossing Powder.  

I made a bunch of these just playing around using regular card stock and watercolor papers.  This happens to be regular card stock. I used Zig Real Brush Markers to color the stamp.  I was surprised that they did pretty well on regular card stock because I always had used them on watercolor paper. 

I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen on the bird's chest and the berries.  You can also put some Glossy Accents on the berries to give them lots of shine and dimension and can probably still see the glitter pen underneath, not sure.  I'll have to try that but that would look really pretty.  

When I stamped the sentiment with Versamark, I was brushing away a few stray powders and my hand rubbed off the part that says 'is a new day' so I put it a little lower in case I still had versarmark there.  You just put tape over the part you don't want to stamp, in this case, the word Tomorrow, and stamp with Versamark and then remove the tape and stamp on your card.  

This is such a lovely stamp and it is very inexpensive, around $5.  I hope I inspired you to make something beautiful today.
